Our Story
It all started with my first keychain. I ordered my custom keychains from China. The price was good, but the shipping was more than the keychains. "No problem, it won't be that bad when I can eventually order in bulk," I thought. So I ordered, then I waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, it arrived in the typical small white battle-scarred package. I promptly listed them, set the price, and set free shipping. It took some time, but sure enough, it sold. I only realized I had a problem when I went to buy my shipping label.
I sold my first keychains for about $8 (what I thought was a fair price), but after shipping from overseas to me, then to them, I had only lost money. I could add shipping at checkout, but free shipping can increase conversion rates by up to 30%. How is anyone supposed to grow their shop like this? Besides, if the customer is going to pay extra, it should go to the seller, not shipping companies. When these shipping expenses add up, they're bad for the customer, artist, and small business.
I needed someone to make them locally and send them straight to the customers. That would virtually eliminate shipping costs and wait time, allowing me to grow my shop and easily add new designs without waiting weeks to see them in person. I talked to other artists and keychain sellers, and they all agreed.
I searched for someone who could make them in the US, but to my great inconvenience, I found no one. I've always been interested in manufacturing, so I took on the responsibility of doing it myself. After much research, buying expensive machines, finding some partners, and a LOT of fine-tuning, we made it to where we are today.
We're continually working to increase our quality and options. Your support is how we do that!
